Amtrak - Texas to the Northwest - 1993

In April 1993, I rode Amtrak from Eugene, Oregon to Marshall, Texas,
and then back again at the end of the month.
Here are a few shots (all I took at the time) while on the way back.

These were scanned both from negatives and the only prints I have of the trip.

Marshall, Texas, Amtrak station & train southwest, ready to depart (April, 1993).
This trip was along the "Texas Eagle" line, which continued along the Southern Pacific
tracks west of San Antonio to Los Angeles.
The lady at the left was my ex-girlfriend's married younger sister.

AT&SF freight station, Ft. Worth, TX (Amtrak station further back) - 4/93.

AT&SF station at Temple, TX, a station stop for our westbound Amtrak train (4/93).

Santa Fe diesels on a siding at Temple, Texas, April, 1993.

Along the Southern Pacific line to California west of Del Rio, Texas, the tracks are right
on the border with Mexico. Here, the view seen is actually in Mexico, taken from the train.

From Los Angeles north, I took the Coast Starlight again, this view is in Southern
California (pardon the glitches from this window shot).

And this view is in southern Oregon which still had some snow (April, 1993),
also taken from the train window on the Coast Starlight.
