Northeast Pennsylvania Fall Views - 2011 - Part II
These are from a driving tour on Sunday, October 23, 2011, around the Wilkes-Barre, PA area.
I tried to photograph a variety of scenes to give a feel for the area (old and new) at this time.
The Molitoris Building on North Main St. in Ashley, PA (at West Germania St.).

Peter's Ice Cream at Blackman and Brown Streets, Wilkes-Barre.

Gilligan St., Wilkes-Barre, just east of New Grove St.

Main Hardware, at South Main & Hanover Streets, Wilkes-Barre.

Looking across the street at the same location.

Just north of the hardware store is the now-abandoned Planters Peanut headquarters, used until 1961.

The old factory now used as a metal recycling plant, at S. Main St. and Pennsylvania Blvd., Wilkes-Barre.

Three views inside the Maple Hill Cemetary, off East St. Mary's Road, in Hanover Township, PA.

The VFW Hall at West St. Mary's Rd. and Lee Park Ave., Hanover Township.

Lee Park Ave. at Oxford St., Wilkes-Barre.

"Eurotech", along Wood St. at Zinn Court, Wilkes-Barre.

Tanker cars near the South Street Bridge, Wilkes-Barre.

View of the abandoned Murray complex at the same location.

Two more perspectives of the above subjects.

South Street Bridge, at Pennsylvania Blvd., Wilkes-Barre.

An attractive Victorian-style home, North Main St. at Beaumont St., Wilkes-Barre north end.

Raised sidewalk in front of several homes, North Main St. between Beaumont and Butler Streets, Wilkes-Barre.

Row of attached homes along Butler St. (east of North Main St.), Wilkes-Barre.

E. North St. at Wyoming St., Wilkes-Barre, a building named "Hoover Block 1889".

A block west of the above, a much less fortunate older residential building.

Two views of the "Our Lady of Fatima Grotto" on West North Street, Wilkes-Barre.
