President Bush who was then in Portland. The National Guard was called in and you can see
a bit of the turmoil. The backdrop is some of the early "modern" light rail in Portland,
caught in these four shots. The weather was great but not a pretty day for either
the "law" or the protesters, and there were quite a few scuffles.
The first shots were taken from the main area of the demonstration.
The last shot is from further in town at the park (loop) area near the University.
