Red Hook, Brooklyn NY - May 20, 2009

Trolley remnants at Red Hook.
For a brief time, Bob Diamond tried to re-introduce trolley service to Brooklyn NY.
He started a vintage trolley line at Red Hook, and purchased about 20 PCC cars.
At one point, most of them disappeared without a trace, and his funding dried up as well.

These pictures give a brief tour of the site as of May, 2009

The site is behind the upscale Fairway Foods store in the first photo.
Three PCC cars remain on the premises open to the elements.
The short section of track still has its overhead wire, and on a nearby pier
rests a vintage Lehigh Valley barge.
