These were all taken in July, 1979*, featuring Jamaica Avenue around Forest Parkway and
Woodhaven Boulevard under the "J" Jamaica elevated line of the NYC subway system.
Though this set doesn't focus on trains in particular, it was a vibrant place at the time.
*The first photo is the only exception to the date frame, taken around Christmas 1978-9.
