Asheville Mountainside Retreat...
Comfortable, quiet, bed & breakfast-style guest room
in a rustic mountainside home in Asheville, NC...
Also providing complimentary private outdoor deck areas, enclosed outdoor sitting room, and extra indoor retreat / study room.
Our guest room is a fairly large, well-appointed and comfortable bed-and-breakfast-style accomodation with almost all amenities you would expect from a premium hotel, as well as extra retreat areas. It has a private entrance facing the uphill slope of the mountain, private bathroom with shower, and provides an almost cabin-like ambience. We will be fairly close at hand and on call, however, for any extra assistance or amenities you may need. We extend our welcome to friends, businesspeople and travelers wishing to experience a quiet and unique mountain retreat, with a personalized touch. It's in a separate wing of an unusual hand-built rustic private home, started in the 1980's and gradually expanded over the years, with a solar-power backup and a mountain spring-fed water supply. The guest room was newly built in the fall of 2002. Great for a romantic getaway or just to experience a bit of nature. We generally prefer mature individuals or couples, no dogs please, (one cat possibly OK). Bringing young children is discouraged due to terrain hazards, etc. Guests are expected to maintain a peaceful, quiet demeanor. Write us via e-mail or call to introduce yourself and your party, and we can arrange your stay. The basic full-service rate is $85 per couple per night, with some discounting for stays of more than two nights. There is also a second room (only for overflow), which can accomodate 1 extra person on a twin size sleeping area, or possibly 2 on our spare queen size mattress on the center floor area (a bit more primitive). This second room is designed more as a meditation and study room. This is available for $50 per night (for sleeping purposes), but day use of this room (for sitting, reading or study) is complimentary to all guests. This second room is not currently air-conditioned. There is also an enclosed outdoor sitting room for guests, which is easily accessible from either room.
Breakfast included if you wish, we usually feature a hearty "specialty" breakfast choice of our own creation, with coffee, juice, etc., and we can also provide lighter standard American fare with perhaps a few unique ad-libs, unless you request otherwise. Certain weekdays we may only be able to provide self-serve pre-packaged items, and also microwaveable and bakery items of your choice when requested in advance. We hope your stay will be a quiet and relaxing getaway.
